Health Crisis and Spread of Disease in Syria following earthquakes

Doctors have warned that children are at risk of developing hypothermia and being exposed to waterborne diseases because of earthquakes. Very little humanitarian aid has reached Northwest Syria in the past few days, and medical supplies are running out.

More than 5.4 million children who live across the quake zone were at risk of developing anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

“They need to be able to resume their education, and they urgently need psychosocial support to help deal with the trauma they have experienced.” Let us pray for Syria.
